This week students will take a quiz on Transport and the Organelles of a cell vocabulary. The vocabulary quizzes are matching. Later in the week they will review for and then take a test on the same material, incorporating their knowledge of the cell membrane (what it is made of and how it functions to let things in and out) and the function of each of the major organelles in the cell. At the beginning of Term 2, students will apply their knowledge of the organic compounds and begin learning how those apply to the chemical reactions: Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration.
Term 1 ends on Friday November 3.
